History of Generations Adoptions
Nightlight Christian Adoptions is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) adoption agency licensed by the state of Texas to provide adoption services. Opened in July 2004 by our founder Cathy Sones, Generations Adoptions began offering domestic infant adoption services to birth and adoptive families across the state of Texas. Through 2016, we placed 167 children for adoption through our Domestic program. On April 1, 2008, Generations achieved Hague Accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA) to offer international adoption programs in Mexico, Uganda, Ghana, and Cameroon. We placed 44 children through these programs through 2016.
In January 2017, Generations Adoptions merged with Nightlight Christian Adoptions, a long time partner agency to Generations. Through this merge we are thrilled to offer adoption services for Domestic and Embryo Adoption. We also have 15 country programs to offer for International Adoption. Nightlight Christian Adoptions has offices in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.
Our mission is to share God’s love by:
- Helping children, both domestic and international, to find loving families
- Assisting birthparents and genetic parents in making a wise and loving plan for their child’s future
- Preparing families to be committed and effective parents to adoptive children
- Recognizing and advocating the personhood of pre-born children
